To the best of my knowledge, a conjugate acid of a base is the bottom after it has accepted a proton, or a $\ceH+$ ion. In this situation:

Is the conjugate acid of $\ceNaOH$ the sodium ion, or the water? Common sense tells me it can't be the $\ceNa+$ ion, because it has no protons to donate, so how may just it ever be an acid? So I'm thinking that the conjugate acid is $\ceH2O$. However, would not that mean that the conjugate acid of any base of the shape
$$\ce(one thing)OH + H+ -> (something)+ + H2O$$ could be water, and that seems unsettling to me. I also believe that since $\ceNaOH$ undergoes the following response:
